Please be aware, some apps are bigger than others and may take a longer time to download and install. It’s a good idea to prepare ahead of time; if you plan to use the app tomorrow, install it today so it’s ready for your students to use it when you want.
Getting apps on the updated iPads
Your iPad cart has been updated and the most noticeable change will be the reduced number of apps installed on the iPad. Don’t worry, you can download favorite apps used in the past simply by tapping on the Self Service app. Choose the app to install by tapping it and confirm its installation. Click the home button to quit the Self Service app. The new app should install on the desktop shortly. It’s so easy, you can even have your students do it!

This update and change will make the adding of new apps to the iPads much quicker. For future reference, when requesting an app, you will put in a help desk ticket (category iPad apps) and it will be sent to your principal for approval first. Be sure to list enough information in the ticket for your principal to know exactly what app you want, how much it costs, and how it will be used. Any app purchase must be for an entire cart. Some apps are 50% off when we buy 20 or more.
